Frustrated yet?

I lost my Stabber Fleet Issue last night. Another Tusker, Robert Mason, was in a Fed Comet and got pointed by a Cynabal in Onne.  I was right there and couldn't pass up a chance to get in on this fight.  Unfortunately it was a trap and a Veto gang jumped in.  It didn't help that I forgot I had GCC and was taking aggro from sentry guns at the same time.

The results were predictable.  What hurts even more is that I forgot that I had a bunch of loot in my hold so I lost about 30 mil worth of various junk.  Ah well. Easy come, easy go.  It was worth it to get a shot at a Cynabal.

After that debacle I went on a little solo roam in Placid.  I took a short cut through a couple of Syndicate 0.0 systems and then remembered why I hate 0.0.  There were freaking bubbles everywhere!  I had my cloaky scout with me so I was able to avoid them but they are a serious pain.  Cheetah FTW!

Once I got back in lowsec I saw a Myrm on scan in Oulley.  I took my Cheetah to a planet and dropped probes.  Right as I did so, the Myrm showed up on my overhead.  He was about 150km off the planet and was sitting there with Ogre drones orbiting him.  Hmmm...

I cloaked up and used my probes to get a 100% lock on him.  Then I warped Buck over in his Jag and landed right on top of him.  It was a fun fight even if it was pretty one-sided.  He was stabbed but my scram overrode that.  He kept breaking my lock so I figured he was ECM fit.  However I had a fast locking ability so each time it went off, I would relock him before he could align to warp out.  He put up a good fight but the ending was inevitable.

I can only imagine how frustrating it was for him to be stabbed and ECM fit and yet still die to a solo ship. Of course I noticed that the ship was tri-tanked so he may have been too new to really know what was even going on.

Not such easy pickings

There has been a lot of talk about all these Sansha invasions going on.  I am never in high sec and I have not been around when one happened.  Until last night.  I was in one my favorite low sec hunting spots (Kubinen) when there started to be chatter in local about a Sansha incursion.  I watched local spike from 6 pilots to over 90.

A quick check on scan showed all kinds of juicy expensive ships. I found out that the Sansha wormhole had opened up near planet 3.  My cloaky alt warped over and found a huge battle in progress between a bunch of folks with high sec status and NPCs.  I figured I would warp in and pick off a few targets on the edge while they were engaged with the NPCs.  It was such a mess that I figured I could get a kill or two before they knew I was there.

Wrong.

Well that was bad.  I decided to wait awhile and let the rats do some of my work for me.  My alt spotted a drake that was almost down.  Perfect.  I would warp in a a bigger ship, ninja the kill and GTFO.

Wrong again.

Apparently these carebears had some good security going on.  I was impressed.  After these two deaths I just let my alt hang around cloaked until the battle was over then I grabbed some loot to help cover my losses.  I think that I will leave the next incursion alone and stick with solo ganks.

How disappointing.

A nice return

I took a little break from EVE due to being busy in my personal life.  I found myself in a bit of a funk once I logged back on.  All my corp mates were racking up great kills and finding good fights while I just seemed to be zipping from system to system aimlessly.  I was about to log it for the night when I came across a Hulk mining in Ouelletta.  One of my mates had been trying to catch him earlier but he ran to high sec.  You would think he learned to stay out of low sec.

Apparently not.

Other than in the tutorial, I have never mined.  I don't manufacture and I don't really know the supply and demand of certain ores.  So I have to wonder if Jaspet is worth the risk.  Does it only appear in low sec?  Wouldn't it be safer to buy in on the market?

Ahh well.  Bad luck for this guy but good luck for me.
